Ready to take the next step in your Quality Award journey? This introductory webinar is designed for organizations that have achieved Silver Quality Award status and are beginning to prepare for a future Gold Quality Award application.
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the Gold Award process, including how to interpret and use feedback reports, key similarities and differences between the Silver and Gold criteria, and resources available to support their preparation. The session will also introduce the Gold Self-Assessment Tool and provide an opportunity to ask questions about the journey toward performance excellence.

Cathy Bergland is the lead consultant and trainer for CB Leadership Group, an organization she founded in 2021, where she focuses on leadership development, intercultural competence and performance excellence. She brings nearly 40 years of leadership experience across nonprofit and older adult services, including roles at ImpactLives as Chief Learning Officer and Training and Development Consultant. Cathy also has a long tenure with Presbyterian Homes & Services in senior leadership positions, such as Leadership Institute Dean, Executive Director of Leadership Development and Organizational Effectiveness, and Director of Care Center Operations.
Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Cathy is also a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She has more than 15 years of experience with the Baldrige Performance Excellence Criteria and serves as a judge, trainer, examiner and Chair of the Quality Award Board for the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Program. She is also certified through the Performance Excellence Network in Minnesota to conduct organizational assessments and evaluate performance. In addition, Cathy has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and Bethel University and is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory.
